I have had the privilege of knowing this bride since we were 14 years old, and I was so honored when she called to tell me that she wanted me to be her photographer! I have only recently gotten to know her now husband, but the love that they have for each other is beautiful! Here's a quick sneak peak of their south beach wedding! Marjorie & Leo's day took place at the beautiful National Hotel that is perfectly placed on Miami Beach & has been their since 1939. Not to mention everything from the hotel to the decorations all had a vintage feel including the brides beautiful lace dress, eco-flower bouquet, & touches of garnet and gold throughout the decor. Reception The reception was held on the pool deck at the national hotel where friends and family were able to dance the night away with Levine Events. The Team that put it all together:

Wow! I cant believe how long it's been since Ive blogged! I am happy to report its because I have been busting at the seems with adorable families & stunning brides & groom this year! Here's a quick look at the stunning Mr & Mrs Bright. Their day started inside this beautifully spacious house that was nestled next to a private lake, just a short walk to the beach. Nancy started off the day in her mother-in-laws wedding dress, which was a complete surprise to the groom. She only had to make a few modifications to the dress to truly make it her own! She was beaming from ear-to-ear as her sister & mother-in-law helped button her up. Ceremony - Corpus Christi Catholic Church - Destin, Florida Once we finished their sweet ceremony, we headed back to the house to start the party, but Nancy had a quick surprise for Andrew. Then we found out that Andrew had an "accidental" glimpse of a photo of a very similar dress to this one! Needless to say we were all surprised that he kind of already knew! :) The Beach For Sunset Photos Congrats again Mr & Mrs Bright! You guys were absolutely wonderful & I am so thankful I could be apart of it all! & for those of you that dont know this fantastic couple...the last 2 photos are pretty much how all our photos went including the family photos. I dont think they have a serious bone in their body & it was fabulous!
It is a rare & beautiful treat when the stars align & magic happens in all aspects of a wedding ceremony & this was one of those ceremonies. Jessica & Dave ceremony was one of those incredibly specials moments. The clouds came out & played peek-a-boo with the sun just enough during sunset so we could have a stunning sunset sky without any crazy harsh orange rays on people's faces. These two have known each for a long time & life has not always been easy for them but some how they found their way back to each other & I am so incredibly honored that they chose me to document this new incredible chapter in their lives. Before we get to the gorgeous sunset photos take a look at their intimate first looks with not only each other but also with their sweet daughter Emma. While I love to be in the hustle & bustle of big weddings...there is something that touches me much deeper about the smaller, intimate ceremonies that I get to be apart of. Here are some photos from after the ceremony.
Yall.....these two people are such a special part of my life! I love them & was incredibly honored to be asked to shoot their wedding. The bulk of my weddings are done on the beach & while absolutely love all things beach related, this wedding was a nice reprieve from the beach. Ashley & Pat (or as Ashley says Patrick) wedding was filled to the brim with elegant little details that had hints of the brides favorite fairy tales as well as some of her favorite stories. See if you can spot some of the brides favorite fairy tales. Just take a look at some of these stunning details that this wonderful bride & groom put into making their day uniquely theirs. If you know Ashley then you know how she is when it comes to gifts...this girl has a knack for not only making sure the gift is presented perfectly but she always knows the perfect gift to get someone. So when Pat showed me the gift "box" that he had put together for Ashley I had to ask if she actually put it together. His "gift" to her was perfect, from the presentation down to the every single little gift he gave here. These two know each other so well & knew exactly not only what the other would want but also how best to present them. Well we got rained out for the actual ceremony but it cleared up enough for us to have some fun outside with the wedding party. You can always tell when the groomsmen are done taking photos....this time they broke out horse masks lol So there is an old Southern tradition that states if you bury a bottle of bourbon exactly 1 month prior to your wedding date you will have good weather. There are few stipulations with that though: you must bury at the ceremony site, the bottle must be full & buried upside down to ensure the weathers cooperation.... Well if you read my comment earlier in this post you know that it did in fact rain.
More specific variations of this tradition state that the bride & groom need to bury it a day that they would be happy with weather wise. Ironically, the day this bride & groom buried their bourbon the weather was not ideal. Below youll find the series of photos where I trudged out in the pitch dark with not only the groom but also the groomsmen. Thank you to those wonderful groomsmen for keeping a umbrella over me while we dug for bourbon! What better place to get married than right on the beach. I cant think of too many places. Kiley & Caleb chose to have their beautiful ceremony right on the beach & then reception to follow at the absolutely adorable Hakuna Matata house on 30a. This day could not have been possible without their loving families & a few spectacular vendors Take a look at some of their sweet moments below. Thank you to some amazing vendors for a job well done:

Videography: Theory Y Design Wow, its been a long time since I have been able to blog! We have had an amazingly busy season again this year & the best part is the year isn't even over yet! Now....I wanted to reach out & let you all in on a big secret! Do you know what the absolute best smiles in a family session come from? Usually someone being silly. Family photos should be exciting & fun! One of my favorite parts of the session is the last 5-10minutes of every one of my sessions (mostly when littles are involved) when the kids are FREE. They are free to roam the beach (to a degree), splash(sometimes swim) & just be kids! Take the Le family for instances....these kids knew how to have a great time! Mom & Dad even got in on the action & just played with their kiddos! Our little ones are only little for a short amount of time, enjoy those precious silly moments where the only care in the world is finding seashells, jumping waves, & splashing each other. Clothes & children can all be hosed off after the session ;)
Those 4 little words that will change your entire life course in a matter of minutes! This moment was no different but one of the few surprise engagements Ive been able to be apart of. The images above was the very first image I took of Leonard & Karen. (karen was oblivious!)
Backstory: Karen's daughter reached out to me prior to this to see if I was available & since I was she put Leonard & I in connection with each other. We only spoke 1 time on the phone, mainly because I was worried she(Karen) might find out. lol. Saturday came & I was honestly worried I stick out like a sore thumb with this big camera taking photos of....birds?? maybe??? so I brought my mom & daughter along to help be my cover. I love trying out to new locations for shoots & jumped on the chance when this bride-to-be mentioned Seville Square & Pensacola Beach. We wondered all over Seville Square & Historic District in Pensacola. We finished off our evening together at Pensacola Beach. Vendors: Amber with Beach Side Ceremonies & Events
