Yall.....these two people are such a special part of my life! I love them & was incredibly honored to be asked to shoot their wedding. The bulk of my weddings are done on the beach & while absolutely love all things beach related, this wedding was a nice reprieve from the beach.

Ashley & Pat (or as Ashley says Patrick) wedding was filled to the brim with elegant little details that had hints of the brides favorite fairy tales as well as some of her favorite stories. See if you can spot some of the brides favorite fairy tales. Just take a look at some of these stunning details that this wonderful bride & groom put into making their day uniquely theirs.

If you know Ashley then you know how she is when it comes to gifts...this girl has a knack for not only making sure the gift is presented perfectly but she always knows the perfect gift to get someone.  So when Pat showed me the gift "box" that he had put together for Ashley I had to ask if she actually put it together. His "gift" to her was perfect, from the presentation down to the every single little gift he gave here. These two know each other so well & knew exactly not only what the other would want but also how best to present them.

Well we got rained out for the actual ceremony but it cleared up enough for us to have some fun outside with the wedding party.

You can always tell when the groomsmen are done taking photos....this time they broke out horse masks lol

So there is an old Southern tradition that states if you bury a bottle of bourbon exactly 1 month prior to your wedding date you will have good weather.  There are  few stipulations with that though: you must bury at the ceremony site, the bottle must be full & buried upside down to ensure the weathers cooperation.... Well if you read my comment earlier in this post you know that it did in fact rain.

More specific variations of this tradition state that the bride & groom need to bury it a day that they would be happy with weather wise.  Ironically, the day this bride & groom buried their bourbon the weather was not ideal.  Below youll find the series of photos where I trudged out in the pitch dark with not only the groom but also the groomsmen.  Thank you to those wonderful groomsmen for keeping a umbrella over me while we dug for bourbon!
