Awe!!!! Babies...they grow up soooo fast!!! My little one just turned 1! Here are a few photos of her The props in these photos are available for anyone that would also like to add them to their shoot. I decided to save them, as well as the polka dots in Chance's cake smash. Polka dots are available in multiple colors & sizes. I just need to know what colors you prefer so that I can have them ready. This stunning tutu was made by my dear friend, Ashley Throneberry! & her Pinwheel Bow was made by her Aunt Michelle Calhoon! Sincerely Anna Calhoon Well.....even though its been pretty quiet on the website, I have been very busy behind the camera with multiple cake smashes, and a few family sessions, And let me tell you these cake smashes were adorable.... here are just a few of the ones I've done in the last month & little Ms Ema loved eating the frosting! My next 1st Birthday session was with handsome Mr. Dawson! Here's one more cake smash..... Mr Chance :) who will be turning 1 tomorrow! Happy Birthday!
Oh! This little (stature not size lol) family, I love! I was first introduced to Kathryn by my husband about 5 years ago. I instantly fell in love with her 4 little ones; they are the type of kids that make you want to have kids. They each have a unique personality, but also very much alike. Here are a few photos from her in-home family newborn session These two little boys entered the world on March 11, 2014 & they could not have entered into a more sweet & loving family. It takes a special person to be a mother & an even more special one to be a mother to 6 beautiful, happy, healthy kids. This next photo was actually in between takes... I couldnt help post this because you can just see the love pouring out of sweet Emerson's little face! My heart keeps melting!
...okay NOT really. I'm not ready. :) Its amazing how God designed us. I honestly can't believe how much a baby grows in the first year of life! Here's a few of our little munchkin I just want to cry when I compare photos!!!!!!!!!! Everyone warns you they grow fast but seeing is definitely believing in this case photo credit for the one on the left (newborn photo) Kaylie B. Poplin This kiddo of ours is seriously a ham! I break out the phone & she's all about looking & smiling...I break out the camera & she looks every way but at me! :) I just chalk it up to good practice! For those of you, that DON'T live in the South this winter storm was a big deal for us! lol We had "snow" & ice, our cars were frozen shut & every bridge--small, medium, and large--were all closed. (where I live there are about 8 bridges within a 20mile radius) You name it...it was FROZEN! I recently saw some photos of frozen bubbles from a fellow photog that lived up North & desperately wished it would get cold enough so I could attempt it....I got my wish. Unfortunately, it really didn't get cold enough for the bubbles to freeze until after sun down but it was still awesome to see! Here are a few of my photos from tonight When some of the bubbles would completely freeze, their tops would sink in but instead of popping they would just crack! Everyone has that friend...that one friend that you can talk about anything too... that same friend that if you ask her honest opinion she will give it to you! But she's also incredibly loyal (like a pet dog loyal) lol ;) As you can tell she shoots Canon but I dont fault her for that. She is an awesome friend & I am so excited that God ever so diligently put her in my life! We were friends before we become photogs & we separately became passionately in love with photography. God had something planned for our friendship before we even knew each other. Our friendship is living proof that people in the photography industry can be great & wonderful friends. These were photos that were taken quite awhile ago, but they are still some of my favorites of her! This woman is vibrant & full of life. I cant tell you how many times she has been there for me no matter the task big or small. Kaylie, I am so glad that we were placed in each others lives! You're friendship is a precious gift! And now.......... She is one of the most awesomest (yes, spelled incorrectly I like to make up words) aunt in the whole world! Hey did I mention that this girl volunteered run the Pensacola Double Bridge Run 15k with me on the my birthday, February 1st!!!!!! Yea girl! lol Boys will be boys...The Kendrick boys had more energy than ever! maybe it was the Christmas present high or all the sugar but regardless they kept me on my toes! (their parents too) This a fast paced, full of laughs, & a few skinned knees adventurous kinda session! & just maybe this family will be having a little girl soon to hopefully even out the girls...well a little bit more anyways. Wow! what a whirlwind month it has been! Now that Christmas is over I can finally post some photos from my mini sessions (several clients requested that I not post them because they were surprising other family members & I was happy to oblige). and the cuteness just keeps on coming... one more for good luck!
Its amazing how fast time really does fly by! It seems to move its fastest when your not paying attention too. Today my husband and I have been together for 6 years!!!!! We were 18 when we started dating & it seems like just a few days ago! Here's a few interesting fun facts about us: Josh asked me to be his girlfriend after I had already told him I wasn't interested in a boyfriend, he asked I said "no", but I quickly changed my mind when I realized I really didn't have a good reason for not dating him :) He met my parents that same day because I told him if they didn't like him there was no point in dating, that same night we went to Build-a-Bear & made a fisherman bear named Bradley. We each had a crush on each other in 9th grade & I had secretly hoped he would ask me to homecoming, I even told him I had dress picked out & I would go if I had a date...he got the hint 4 years later lol The first major purchase we made together was a house which we closed on tax day 2 1/2 years ago. We picked out/purchased my engagement ring after only being together for a year, but Josh did not propose to me until we had been together for 3 years. Yes he had my ring for 2 years! We both wanted to be able to purchase a house & pay for our own wedding, + (my dad had asked me to graduate with my bachelors first, We actually got married 2 months before my graduation). Josh pulled out all the stops to propose to me, at Cinderellas Castle in the Magic Kingdom it was the best proposal ever!!!!!!!! more details later Our engagement year was by far the worst year EVER! Everyone either needs to have a short engagement or elope! lol but seriously... Following the worst year ever we have had the best almost 2 years of our entire relationship...marriage. I gave my husband the most expensive (for him lol) & best birthday present ever this year! Lily, our daughter who was born 4 days after his birthday. I love you Josh & I can't wait to see what all God has in store for us for the next 6+ years!!!!!!!!
